It’s no secret that President Trump disagreed with National Security Adviser John Bolton’s “hawkish views” on Iran and Afghanistan. The media behaved as though this was all news to them and that this was a sudden and impulsive decision by Trump. In reality, rumors had been swirling about friction with Bolton long before this week.
