President Trump hit back at Jimmy Carter from the G20 Summitt in Osaka, Japan after Carter suggested Trump is an “illegitimate president”.

Carter was being interviewed by Howard Meachum when he commented: “He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf,”

Meachum then asked if Carter feels Trump is an “illegitimate president” to which Carter smiled and coyly said, “based on what I said which I can’t retract.” The crowd laughed and clapped.

This is a very dangerous statement to make and shouldn’t be taken lightly. He should apologize to President Trump.

Watch below:

Jimmy Carter: “Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016. He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”

The most concerning thing is that this promotes the lies that keep popping up on social media and spreads the lie that our president is illegitimate.

The leftist media like CNN, NPR, and VOX, picked up on the comments and reported.

WaPo warned of the dangers of calling Trump an illegitimate president and HuffPost also covered Carter’s remarks.

PRESIDENT TRUMP HITS BACK:

“He’s a nice man. He was a terrible president. He’s a Democrat, and it’s a typical talking point. He’s loyal to the Democrats, and I guess you should be. As everybody now understands, I won not because of Russia, not because of anybody but myself.”
