Universal has refused to stop the release of a violent movie that depicts liberal elites hunting down deplorables for sport.

Ads have been pulled, but the release of The Hunt is still scheduled for September 27th.

In the wake of two mass shooting in Dayon, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, the outcry against the release from people on both sides of the aisle has been huge.

Deadline reports that Universal has had to pull ads for its new Blumhouse film The Hunt, which sees a bunch of rich, liberal-coded “elites” (led by Hilary Swank) get together to hunt poor, hard-working red-staters, including GLOW’s Betty Gilpin. The film’s intentionally divisive, highly politicized trailer, which plays up the difference between the good, salt-of-the-earth victims and the rich assholes who don’t even see them as human, presumably seemed like a more fun idea a week ago.

Bad timing for this type of movie but anytime would be bad timing for a movie that depicts Americans hunting each other based on political beliefs.

Information for the film is still out there:

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen… for a very specific purpose … The Hunt. In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a group of globalist elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (two-time Oscar® winner Hilary Swank) at the center of it all.
Release date: September 27, 2019 (USA)
Budget: 18.2 million USD
