One of the greatest doubles players in US Open history has been fined for making a gun gesture with his tennis racket?
It’s hard to believe, but it happened.
Doubles tennis player Mike Bryan challenged a line call during a match at the US Open. He showed his displeasure with the call by making a gun gesture with his tennis racquet.
He was fined a whopping $10,000! This is ridiculous!

Bryan apologized after the match for the gesture:
‘I apologize for any offense I may have caused. We won the point and the gesture was meant to be playful. But given the recent news and political climate, I understand how my gesture could be viewed as insensitive. I promise that I will never do anything like this again.’
The Bryan brothers are incredible doubles players:
They won the Doubles Championship at the US Open last year and have won many other championships.
Double the Trouble 😎
Happy Birthday to one of the top doubles teams and US Open champions, Bob & Mike Bryan! 🙌🎉🎂@Bryanbros @Bryanbrothers pic.twitter.com/E5joPqaHwC

Wonder if the FBI will be coming to take his guns away because of the “red flag law”.
This is the slippery slope we’re on with gun control.
