The Village of Prairie Grove, Illinois, has ticketed a business owner flying the American flag.

Terry Trobiani says he was just trying to celebrate the Fourth of July when he put American flags in front of Gianelli’s, his hot dog and beef business. Trobiani has now been given two tickets for “improper display” of the flag at $200 apiece.

The flag fight has gone viral and only helped the business owner. People have rallied and given more business to support the Trobiani, but the Village President David Underwood sounds resentful of the support. It sounds like the Village President needs to go and NOT the flags.

The case goes to trial next month. What a waste!
