Meghan McCain opened up about her relationships with her fellow co-hosts of “The View” on Saturday during an interview on Van Jones’ new CNN’s show. McCain isn’t our favorite conservative pundit but she has proven on The View that she can call out the liberals and stand her ground. We give her credit for that because it’s not easy to do.

“It is challenging every part of my profession that I know because it’s almost like trying to learn how to speak a new language,” McCain said. “Trying to speak to–I wouldn’t even just call them liberals–it’s like the most extreme liberals I have ever met in my life.”

STAND YOUR GROUND:

McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.), joined “The View” in October of 2017. She replaced Jedediah Bila, who described herself as a conservative libertarian, in an effort to balance the famously liberal left viewpoints of her fellow hosts, inlcuding longtime hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. Her tenure on the show has been fraught and politicized, with McCain describing the experience as one where she has to learn “how to speak a new language.”

Shortly after joining the show in November of 2017, McCain chided her fellow co-hosts for painting all Trump voters as racists or misogynists, and for seemingly not having learned anything from the 2016 presidential election.
