Have Americans become divided into mask wearers and non-mask wearers? Mask wearers in Staten Island, NY, were recently caught on video shaming and forcing a woman out of a grocery store.
McAuley Holmes posted a video from Reddit to Twitter, showing customers in a grocery store trying to drive out a woman who wasn’t wearing a mask. In the video, customers are heard yelling, “Get out!”
Holmes commented to Heavy about the video saying it seems the people yelling at the woman aren’t employees of the store. “From what I can see in the video, it seems there aren’t employees of the store.
Holmes continued:
“Obviously private businesses have the right to refuse service to non-mask wearers, but a group of shoppers is different. Masks are important in stopping the spread and wearing one is a sign of respect to others. It’s understandable that people would be so serious about community enforcement in a place like Staten Island that has been hit so hard by COVID.”
