A gas leak forced the closure of a voting precinct in Michigan, prompting officials to move its location.

According to reports, one of Northville’s two voting precinct’s closed on Election Day.

FOX 2 Detroit reports:

The city reported around 12:30 p.m. that Precinct 1 at the Community Center on Main Street was closed for voting. Voters who normally go to that precinct should go to Hillside Middle School to cast their ballots until the leak is resolved.

Consumers Energy is at the scene addressing the gas leak.

Polls in Michigan will close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Per CBS Detroit:

The city is in Michigan’s 6th Congressional District. Voters in the district will choose between Democratic incumbent Rep. Debbie Dingell or Republican challenger Heather Smiley to serve as U.S. Representative.
