Oh, how Democrats love “maverick” Republicans, yet when a fellow Democrat goes against the mob, the claws come out.

Who knows best what’s best for the people of West Virginia?  Democrats and Hollywood elites like Bette Midler don’t seem to care what the people of West Virginia have to say and are none too happy about Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) decision not to support the reconciliation spending bill, also known as the Build Back Better Act.

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (WV)  has been consistent in his approach to the massive spending package since its introduction earlier this year.  Now radical Dems slam him after announcing he would not cave to the Democrat mob, telling Fox News’ Brett Bair that he is a definite “no” on Joe Biden’s radical Socialist Build Back Better spending bill.

“As I have said for months, I can’t support $3.5 trillion more in spending when we have already spent $5.4 trillion since last March. At some point, all of us, regardless of party, must ask the simple question – how much is enough?” said Manchin in September.

“I didn’t think any of this was needed at this time. I thought the infrastructure bill was really what was needed,” he claimed in October.

“To be clear, I will not support the reconciliation legislation without knowing how the bill would impact our debt and our economy,” he said in November.

West Virginians told Fox News they supported Sen. Joe Manchin’s opposition to the social spending agenda…but the socialist, anti-Semite lawmaker Ilhan Omar claims she knows better than West Virginia residents what his constituents want.

Despite being a senior member in her own party, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., went for the throat in a profanity-laced rant toward Sen. Joe Manchin, suggesting the West Virginia Democrat “couldn’t be trusted” after announcing he opposed President Joe Biden’s $1.7 trillion Build Back Better legislation.

Watch:

Omar continued to blast what Manchin described as his effort to get the legislation into a shape that he could support. “It is really disheartening to hear him say that he has been trying to get there for the people of West Virginia because that’s a complete lie,” she said.

“There are just so many things that, you know, the people of West Virginia desperately need. And we know that he is not working on behalf of their interests, and I really am just completely disappointed and disgusted by his reasoning,” she added.

“Squad” Member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y, of course, had a lot to say on Sen. Manchin’s refusal to support on Build Back Better Act: “The idea that Joe Manchin says he can’t explain this back home to his people is a farce … I represent just as many or more people than Joe Manchin does.”

“I think what Sen. Manchin did yesterday represents such an egregious breach of trust of the President,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez on Sen. Manchin’s remarks that he won’t support the Build Back Better bill. “It’s an outcome we had warned about.”

In an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Ocasio-Cortez ranted about Manchin and how the U.S. Senate was “notoriously” designed for smaller populations to have more power than larger ones.

“The House of Representatives, and that’s even with the gerrymandering, is the only majority that most reliably delivers the actual will of the majority of people and voters of the United States of America. That is why they call this the people’s house,” she said. “It is extremely difficult to hold together a House majority, and especially with the razor-thin margin that we have around this agenda. So the idea that Joe Manchin says he can’t explain this back home to his people is a farce. I mean, it’s a farce in terms of plain democracy because I represent more or just as many or more people than Joe Manchin does. Perhaps more.”

WHOOPS!!  It seems AOC wasn’t even close in her pronouncement. West Virginia has about 1.8 million residents, making it the 10th-least populated state, while her district in Queens and the Bronx has around 700,000 residents, as of 2019 estimations.

We are still waiting on the fact-checkers!

From Fox News:

In an interview on Monday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., wrongly suggested she represented more people than Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.

Dinesh D’Souza is 100 percent correct in calling out journalists turning a blind eye to AOC’s inaccurate comment:  AOC says she represents as many people as Manchin. She represents ONE THIRD as many. Think of how the media would react if someone on our side said something that stupid. Yet journalists cover for progressives with room-temperature IQs, pretending they didn’t hear that.

During an appearance on CNN, Freshman Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York claimed that fellow Democratic lawmaker Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia does not care about black people, Latinos, immigrants, women, or the poor.

“It’s an example of Joe Manchin, as a White man, showing that he doesn’t care about Black people, he doesn’t care about Latinos, he doesn’t care about immigrants, he doesn’t care about women, and he doesn’t care about the poor.”

Far-left Congresswoman Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, says they will not stop. “We worked from cutting the bill from $6 trillion to $3.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion, that framework that the President and Sen. Manchin committed to, and that is what we now need to deliver on, and we are not going to stop.”

Jayapal ripped Democrat Senator Joe Manchin Tuesday after he effectively killed the ‘Build Back Better’ proposal, accusing the moderate of “changing his position all the time.”

“The only thing we have to trust around here is our word. And it’s unfortunate that it seems we can’t trust Sen. Manchin’s word. […] I don’t see how we can negotiate with somebody who changes their position all the time and whose word you cannot rely on,” said Congresswoman Jayapal.

Nikki Haley, who was formerly the governor of South Carolina and went on to serve as Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, claps back at Ilhan Omar: ‘Manchin’s Decision Was a Gift and Second Chance to America’

From Townhall:

[Nikki Haley] called out many aspects of Build Back Better as “BS,” using a more polite term than Omar did to stress her point. Haley also gratefully declared that “Manchin’s decision was a gift and a second chance to America” and included “#2022” in her tweet.

Senator Manchin (D-WV) responds to Democrat backlash following his announced opposition to Build Back Better: “Well, guess what? I’m from West Virginia. I’m not from where they’re from, [where] they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they’ll be submissive.”
