Democrats need to listen to this warning loud and clear: Be careful what you ask for ahead of the November 2018 midterm elections.

Folks like California’s 43rd congressional district head honcho Maxine Waters keep calling for an impeachment of President Donald Trump, followed up by a threat to go after Vice President Mike Pence, and they’re so bent on taking down the leaders of the country that they’re forgetting one major point that happened in the past.

The warning comes from the time when former President Bill Clinton was impeached and what happened afterward was a phenomenom not expected by anyone. As it turned out, Clinton actually became a bit more popular because of his impeachment, seeing some of his highest approval ratings ever. That’s something brought up by former independent counsel Kenneth Starr when he talked on the “The Ingraham Angle” show this week.

If you weren’t aware, or don’t remember, then you should know that it was Kenneth Starr who helped get Clinton impeached. If he’s giving a brutal warning like this, then it’s something Democrats should pay very close attention to. Of course, two decades later, this warning is more important than anything if the Democrats pay attention and take someone’s advice for once.

Who knows if they’ll do anything right while under the influence of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

This warning comes on with the territory as Starr is set to release his memoir about the time he got Clinton impeached. The book is titled ‘Contempt’ and Democrats may want to pay attention for once.

As per Lifezette:

“And part of the message in my book is be careful what you ask for. Because I do think that impeachment is hell,” Starr, who is promoting his new memoir, “Contempt: A Memoir of the Clinton Investigation,” told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

“It’s hell to go through for the American people. Even though there are very strong feelings on one side and then on the other side, that is not our system,” Starr continued.

Starr’s investigation led to former President Bill Clinton’s impeachment in 1998 by the Republican-led House of Representatives for perjury and obstruction of justice charges. The Senate, also Republican-led, declined to convict Clinton.”

Bill Clinton’s approval rating was at its highest after his impeachment.

If Trump is impeached, then will his supporters be on his side even more?

It’s entirely possible.

Kenneth Starr continued:

“Well, it could very well happen,” Starr said. “We have impeachment in the Constitution. It’s an important last resort. And the country did not feel as a whole that Bill Clinton, for all of his crimes — and he committed crimes, and we proved that he committed crimes — that he should actually be removed in his last year and a half in office.”

“We have elections in the country, and those elections mean something,” Starr added. “Why in the world are the Democrats — some of the Democrats — seriously discussing impeachment? I think it’s folly. But that’s the politics. I just think it’s very bad for the country. It is ultradivisive.”

This is a man who helped get a former president impeached telling us that it’s ‘folly’ that some Democrats are calling for Trump to be impeached. Starr is basically calling Democrats out for being purposely divisive. They’re reaching for an impeachment backed by no merit or sound reasoning.

You can’t impeach someone just because you don’t like them.

People like Maxine Waters should take note of this and realize that her mere existence in politics is bad for the system and she offers nothing to us.

It’s time for people like her to step down and take a hike. America doesn’t need their pure hatred and inability to support the president.

This is America. We support the people we voted into office and we work together to solve issues.

If all someone can do is constantly screaming about impeachment, well then they better be careful of what they asked for.
