During an interview today on CNN, Socialist-Democrat candidate for president, Senator Bernie Sanders (VT) was taken back when CNN host Dana Bash humiliated him for losing in all of the polls against former VP Joe Biden. She also called out the cranky communist for his double talk when it comes to supporting for the Hyde Amendment. The Hyde Amendment is a legislative provision the prohibits the use of federal funds to pay for abortion with exceptions for incest, rape or to save the life of the pregnant woman.

Bash reminded Sanders that he said earlier this week that he always voted against the Hyde Amendment, but that isn’t exactly true. Bash scolded Sanders for lying, saying, “You have actually voted in the past to support large spending bills that included the Hyde Amendment.” Bash asked him, “Is it misleading, Senator, to say you’ve never voted for it?”

A flustered Sanders responded saying, “Well, look, sometimes in a large bill you have to vote for things you don’t like. But I think my record as being literally 100% pro-choice, is absolutely correct. Look, if you believe, as I do, that a woman’s right to control her own body is a constitutional right, then that must apply to all women, including low-income women.”

Bash began to point out several issues where Biden and Sanders disagree, asking him, “If you’re right on all these issues and Joe Biden is wrong, why is he in the lead?” she asked.

“Well, ya know, Dana—that’s the poll of today,” Sanders responded, trying not to show his frustration.

Bash continued, “It’s not just one poll,” Bash pressed. “I’m not even talking about Iowa. National polls, all of them.”

Sanders “Last I heard, the election was eight months from today when the votes are gonna be cast in Iowa.”
