The human rights horror that continues to unfold in Venezuela, is going mostly unreported by the mainstream media, while so-called human rights advocates, like socialist U.S. lawmakers, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and 2020 Democrat presidential candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders, remain tight-lipped about the unimaginable horrors experienced by Venezuela’s victims of socialism.
Only five years ago, Democratic presidential 2020 candidate, Bernie Sanders heralded Socialist-ruled Venezuela as an example of what the American dream should look like.
In his essay, Bernie Sanders suggested the American dream” is more likely to be found in South America, using Venezuela as an example of a Socialist utopia. In his “Close The Gaps: Disparities That Threaten America” essay, the Socialist US Senator declared: “These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela, and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger.”
Sanders is currently polling at the top of the massive field of 2020 Democrat presidetial candidates.
Today, on the streets of the socialist utopia of Venezuela, and an armored vehicle was caught on camera, as it drove into a large crowd of civilian supporters of opposition leader Juan Guaido on the street.

When the Socialist darling of the Democrat Party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was recently asked about Venezuelan strongman Nicolas Maduro, she refused to criticize him and instead chose to criticize U.S. interventionism.
“I think that this is absolutely a complex issue. I think it’s important that we approach this very carefully,” Ocasio-Cortez said when asked whether she would denounce Maduro. “Myself, just like anyone else, is absolutely concerned with the humanitarian crises that’s happening, and I think it’s important that any solution we have centers the Venezuelan people and centers the democracy of the Venezuelan people first. I am very concerned about U.S. interventionism in Venezuela, and I oppose it, especially when we talk about a figure like U.S. Special Envoy Elliott Abrams here. He’s pled guilty to several crimes related to Iran-Contra. I am generally opposed to U.S. interventionism as a principle, but particularly under this administration and under his leadership I think it’s a profound mistake.”
No matter her insane positions, the mainstream media continues to promote her. Last month, AOC appeared on the cover of Time magazine. Last week, she was listed as one of TIME’s top 100 most influential people.
Charlotte Alter, national correspondent for TIME magazine, praised Cortez, saying: “[Ocasio-Cortez is] a democratic socialist at a time when confidence in capitalism is declining, especially among progressive millennials.”
The journalist cheered: “She’s a political phenomenon: part activist, part legislator, arguably the best storyteller in the party since Barack Obama and perhaps the only Democrat right now with the star power to challenge President Donald Trump’s.”
Alter took to Twitter to praise the socialist lawmaker. The Harvard educated daughter of Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter, and Emily Lazar, the former executive producer of “The Colbert Report,” tweeted about AOC:
“AOC and I were born the same year. She was a Dunkaroos kid—I liked fruit roll-ups. People our age have never experienced American prosperity in our adult lives— which is why so many millennials are embracing Democratic socialism.”
National Review’s Jonah Goldberg response was brutal and 100% accurate:
Put aside the fact that her own life experience doesn’t support this claim, the idea that *all* people her age have never experienced American prosperity in their adult lives is economically illiterate, innumerate, hyperbolic lunacy. It’s parodic. https://twitter.com/CharlotteAlter/status/1108699246088409088 …

After getting completely wrecked for her ignorant, baseless tweet, Alter deleted it from Twitter.
