It’s time to bring out your inner Maury Povich with this latest blunder by CNN. It was CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin who made a very weird statement regarding the far left resistance and the anti-Trump movement known as Antifa. Toobin referred to Antifa as mostly African American. On the contrary, there have been numerous events in which Antifa members have appeared, many videos on social media, blogs, and news websites, and mugshots. There’s one observation that many other people may have noticed which completely contradicts what Toobin has stated. Most Antifa members don’t look very African American. Unless everyone is pulling a “Rachel” – then Antifa looks very caucasian, to say the least. Except, Antifa isn’t running around saying they are identifying as different races. They are fighting the presidency and whatever else they “resist” but they’re not a huge group of white people claiming to be black. Antifa is also not a large group of African Americans. That’s just based on my own observation of the Antifa group on the Internet. Of course, pulling a “Rachel” refers to the white woman named Rachel Dolezal who identifies as black, but that’s certainly not the case here. Is it?
Was Toobin being serious or did he make an honest mistake? We have no idea. We also don’t really have a lie detector, but we have seen enough evidence to suggest that Antifa is primarily white folks. In fact, take a look at any one of their events or counter-protests and people will likely agree that Antifa is mostly white people.

Here are some alleged mugshots that were posted on the Internet by either Portland or Berkeley police.
If you type “Antifa mugshots” on Google and do an image search, then your results will look like this. Look at all those white Antifa members. Where are the African Americans?
If you type “Antifa members” on Google and do an image search, then your results will look like this. Again, look at all those white people.
Is it safe to say that Jeffrey Toobin was incorrect in his statement? That seems to be a yes based on simple Google searches and mugshots provided by police departments.
Daily Caller stated: “CNN’s chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin raised a few eyebrows Wednesday when he claimed that Antifa — the violent “anti-fascist” group responsible for a number of destructive protests and counter-protests nationwide — was “widely perceived as an African American organization.”
Toobin was responding to President Donald Trump’s claims, made during a White House dinner for evangelical leaders, that a shift in power in Congress could lead to violence. Naming Antifa directly, the president added, “The level of hatred — the level of anger — is unbelievable.”
But according to Toobin, the real problem is not the many documented instances of violence perpetrated by Antifa, but the “racism” of the president. “Let’s be clear also about what is going on here,” he said. “The theme here is, ‘I’m Donald Trump and I’ll protect you from the scary, black people.'”
But then Toobin took it a step further, saying, “Antifa is widely perceived as an African-American organization, and this is just part of the same story of Lebron James and Don Lemon and Maxine Waters and the NFL players and the UCLA basketball players. This is about black versus white. This is about Donald Trump’s appeal to racism and it just happens all the time. We never say it — we don’t say it enough for what it is, but that’s what is going on here.”
Has anyone ever gotten that feeling from Donald Trump? Has there ever been a time when Trump made you think that you were in fear of or being protected from the “scary, black people?” I don’t think there was. I don’t think Toobin is being honest on his perception of President Trump or what he’s doing.
Any claims that Donald Trump are racist would need to be proven. Trump has been in business for all those years before he ran for president, mingling with celebrities, hanging out with the rich moguls, and not once was his name in any sort of controversy involving race. It’s very bizarre that Trump was only called a racist when he was going head to head with the Democrats in 2016.
Fake outrage coming fake news in hopes to dismantle a president based on false claims? That sure sounds like it.
Toobin is welcome to his thoughts and feelings, but we can counter that with facts.
