So much for the “happiest place on earth.” A massive brawl broke out on Saturday, in Disneyland’s Toontown that involved men, women, screaming children, and a disabled granny who was thrown to the ground when she tried to intercede. Almost as disturbing as the video itself is how long it took Disneyland security to get to the scene. For three minutes, the violent brawl continued, including a man wearing a red t-shirt, who can be seen repeatedly punching, slapping and pulling the hair of a woman who was pushing a stroller. Small children can be heard in the video crying, and the woman videotaping the melee can be heard laughing when the disabled granny is thrown to the ground.

KTLA News reports – Anaheim police on Monday said they’re continuing their investigation of a violent fight involving members of the same family visiting Disneyland after a video of the brawl surfaced online.

The footage, recorded at Mickey’s Toontown on Saturday, shows two men and two women throwing punches at each other near at least three young children, two of them in a stroller.

Several people tried to intervene and stop the altercation, as other parkgoers, including children, appeared stunned.

Park security eventually arrived to stop the fight. It’s unclear how much time passed before they got to the scene.

“We do not condone this behavior,” a Disneyland official said in a statement.

On Monday, Anaheim police said everyone involved in the fight belongs to the same family and that they were uncooperative when officers responded to the scene.

“A report was taken,” the Police Department said. “There was no video at the time. Now that we have video, the investigation can continue.”

When the man in the red t-shirt was told his violent behavior was captured on video, he responds by saying over and over again, “I’m ready to go to jail tonight.” Next, the aggressor in the red t-shirt sets his sites on another young woman whom he begins to punch several times. At this point in the video, several male guests at the park intercede, trying to stop him from attacking the woman.

Finally, at the 3:21 mark of the video, a single Disneyland security officer shows up at the scene. By this time, several innocent men who are guests at the park have already stepped in to protect the women from being beaten by the man in the red t-shirt. Unfortunately, the Disneyland security are slow to apprehend the man in the red t-shirt, as again, he walks towards and approaches the same woman he just violently punched only moments ago. Incredibly, 2-3 Disneyland security guards can be seen standing around with walkie-talkies in hand, as they watch the aggressor roam around threatening his victims.  The video ends with a police officer finally showing up to the scene as the man in the red t-shirt begins to walk away.

***Warning***video is extremely graphic.

What do you think? Did Disneyland handle this violent confrontation properly? Does it make you feel any less safe at their parks seeing how slowly they respond to a very violent and threatening situation? Should the guests at Disneyland have had to jump in to prevent the women from being beaten by this man? Tell us what you think about this situation in the comment section below.
