The self-ingratiating, Trump-loathing Hollywood set have lost their appeal with Americans who are sick and tired of watching them pat themselves on the back while trashing our President. Last year, the dreadful Golden Globes Awards lost even more viewers.

Last night, during his “Best Actor” award speech at the Golden Globes Awards show, liberal actor Christian Bale thanked Adam McKay, the writer, and producer of the movie, “Vice”, for choosing Bale to play the role of former Vice President Dick Cheney. Bale told that audience that McKay said he needed to find someone who is “absolutely charisma-free and reviled by everybody,” so he asked Bale to play the role. After winning an award for his Dick Cheney role, Bale claimed he’ll be “cornering the market on charisma-free assholes.” In another cheap shot at Republicans, Bale asked the audience if they thought he should play Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in his next role? The crowd, like a dutiful flock of sheep, cheered.

Finally, Bale thanked “Satan, for giving me inspiration on how to play this role.”

Watch:

Lovers of Satan showed their approval on Twitter, with comments like, “I’ve been waiting for someone to thank Satan at an awards show my whole life”

Even the so-called “Church of Satan” weighed in on Bale’s shout out to Satan, tweeting: “To us, Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. As Mr. Bale’s own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting. Hail Christian! Hail Satan!”

Even “Satan” chimed in, telling Bale, “You’re welcome”

But it was Dick Cheney’s eldest daughter, Liz Cheney’s tweet that landed a knockout punch to the not funny actor.

Liz Cheney tweeted: Satan probably inspired him to do this, too. Christian Bale arrested for ‘assault on mother and sister’

Cheney included a link to an article in The Independent, that reminded everyone of the time Bale was arrested for assault against his mother and sister.

A real stand up guy…

Here is a portion of The Independent article that Cheney included in her tweet:

The Batman star Christian Bale was released on police bail yesterday after being questioned over an alleged assault on his mother and sister.

Scotland Yard said the Hollywood actor, 34, had voluntarily attended Belgravia police station, in central London, at noon. After four hours of questioning by detectives, he was released on bail until September pending further inquiries. His arrest came just 16 hours after he attended the European premiere of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight, in Leicester Square.

A police spokesman said: “A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment. He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He has since been bailed to return on a date in September.”

His mother, Jenny, 61, and sister, Sharon, claims he lashed out at them on Sunday night in his suite at The Dorchester hotel, in Park Lane. They reported the alleged incident at a Hampshire police station on Monday. The complaint was then passed to the Metropolitan Police, who spoke to Mr. Bale before the film premiere but allowed him to attend the event on condition that he present himself at Belgravia police station yesterday.

Someone should probably tell Bale that most of America, and more importantly, God, doesn’t approve of his “humor.”
