Kamala Harris was in Seattle on Wednesday where she announced that $1 billion – taken from the 2021 bipartisan infrastructure bill – would be given to school districts so they could replace old school buses with electric buses.

During her speech, Harris went off on an odd tangent about the nostalgia of school buses.

In her overly-cheerful, kindergarten teacher voice, Harris said, “Who doesn’t love a yellow school bus, right? Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus? Just there’s something about… and most of us, many of us went to school on the yellow school bus, right? It’s part of our experience growing up. It’s part of, you know, a nostalgia and a memory of the excitement and joy of going to school to be with your favorite teacher, to be with your best friends, and to learn. The school bus takes us there.”

As the Vice President of the United States of America, this is the standard of intelligence we are presenting to the rest of the world and, frankly, it’s embarrassing.
