With her husband once again making headlines, this time for the opening of his presidential museum, Michelle Obama is proving her ability to make it all about her.
And one recent interview gave her the opportunity to do it with just one word.
As the Daily Caller reported:
“One word to describe your next chapter. One word,” Roberts asked the couple during a “lightning round” of questions.
“Fun,” said Barack Obama.
“Uh, me,” Michelle Obama said.
ADVERTISEMENT“That’s what you call drop the mic,” Roberts said approvingly, as Michelle Obama laughed.
“You know what, you seem to be grading her higher on her answer,” Barack Obama told Roberts.
Michelle Obama’s answer was honest, if narcissistic. The former first lady has spent much of her post-White House career whining about her husband and her public image.
The response fueled some social media backlash:

Imagine being one-half of the most famous political couple in modern history and your next chapter is still just “Me.” Some people really spend their whole lives in the spotlight and somehow want even more of it.

During the aforementioned presidential museum opening, the former first lady couldn’t resist including a shout out to all the illegal immigrants in the audience, as TownHall reported:
Former First Lady Michelle Obama then declared that Dreamers, illegal immigrants who benefited from the Obama administration’s DACA program, are the “beating heart of this country.” She went on to take several shots at President Trump as well.
In other words, the opening ceremony did little to ease the nation’s political divisions, as Democrats once again seemed unable to express much admiration for the country just weeks before it celebrates its 250th birthday.
