New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has been in South Carolina testing the waters for a presidential run.
He was just caught on video at a church in South Carolina flapping his arms up and down.
If that’s not awkward enough, he was flapping his arms to R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly”.
R & B singer R. Kelly has been in the news regularly because he’s been accused of sexual abuse tied to numerous underage victims. It’s hard to believe that Mayor de Blasio had no clue that R. Kelly was indicted in Chicago on ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse of young girls.
Did the ladies of South Carolina get the news before de Blasio? It looks like many of the women in the South Carolina church chose to stay seated perhaps because they are no longer fans of the R & B singer accused of serious abuse.
In a clip taken by a reporter, the mayor was moving his arms back and forth, and then he was waving them up and down.
NY1 reporter Courtney Gross: “I wonder if the @NYCMayor realizes who sings this song.”

“I Believe I Can Fly” is R. Kelly’s song from the 1996 movie “Space Jam.”
