And the news is that to wrap up his term as Mayor, former NYC Mayor Eric Adams has travelled to Israel to visit the wall and to make a final statement of the Jewish people in Israel.
That statement being: “As NYC Mayor, I served you!”

Now I certainly understand that there is a significant Jewish population in New York City (think Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David), but this does seem a bit odd.
I have been on record many times in the past as saying a Mayor of ANY United States City never needs to go to ANY foreign nation. Ever.
Your duty is to that local city.
Stay there.
Serve those people.
That’s it.
That’s the job.
What is so hard to understand about that?
