Now, we have an update.
President Trump just released a short video statement from the Oval Office in which he talked about the peace plan like it was all but a done deal and thanked multiple countries for their involvement.
He promised that "everybody will be treated fairly" and looked forward to finalizing the deal in order to release all the Israeli hostages back to their loved ones.

As we previously reported, along with agreeing to release all hostages, Hamas has signaled that they are ready to achieve a lasting peace.
But, they still want to hammer out some details of the peace plan and have demanded that Israel immediately stop bombing Gaza in return.
More from The New York Times:
Hamas’s statement says it approved releasing all Israeli hostages in accordance with the “formula” set out in President Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza. In exchange for the release of the hostages, the plan calls for Israel to release 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 others detained by Israel since the start of the war in the coastal enclave. But Hamas also said it needs certain conditions on the ground to allow for the exchange of hostages and prisoners. The group said it was ready to enter into indirect talks with Israel to discuss those conditions...
Trump just released a celebratory video from the Oval Office, thanking other countries involved in the peace plan effort, and he spoke about it as if it was nearly a done deal. “This is a big day,” the president said. “We’ll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down in concrete.”
In the video, which was a short 1 minute and 10 seconds, Trump said that “everyone would be treated fairly” in the negotiations ahead, and said that he looked forward to having hostages released to their family members. “In many ways, it is unprecedented,” Trump said. “Everybody was unified in wanting this war to end and seeing peace in the Middle East, and we’re very close to achieving that.”
In President Trump’s video statement, he thanked Arab and Muslim countries — specifically mentioning Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey, along with “so many others.” And while he expressed hope that the hostages would return home, he did not mention Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.
This is huge...
President Trump truly is our Peacemaker-in-Chief!
