President Trump said on Tuesday at the G7 summit in France that Israel has been fighting Hezbollah “too long” and “too many people” are being killed.
“You don’t have to knock down an apartment house every time you’re looking for somebody. Cause there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they’re not all Hezbollah,” Trump said.
“I suggest that Israel let Syria take care of Hezbollah,” Trump added.
“To be honest with you, I think they’d do a better job of doing it,” he continued.
“If Israel can’t do the job without killing everyone else, he’ll do the job. Syria will do the job,” he added.

More from the New York Post:
He added the attacks put a “negative light on the big deal” with Iran and warned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon.”
“I did not like that, I let them know that,” Trump said of the Sunday strikes, which he called “too much.”
Iran has said Israel ending its attacks in Lebanon is a condition of any agreement to end the three-and-a-half month war. But Netanyahu said Monday that Israeli forces would remain in Lebanese territory “for as long as necessary.”
Trump reiterated to reporters the support the United States has provided to Israel.
“Without the United States, there would be no Israel. Without me, there would be no Israel,” he said.
Trump said he’s had a “great relationship” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
However, he said Netanyahu “has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon.”

CBS News shared further:
Tuesday’s comments are the latest example of Mr. Trump’s frustration with Netanyahu. Fox News reporter Trey Yingst said Sunday that Mr. Trump told him the president asked Netanyahu “what the f*** are you doing?” after this weekend’s strikes.
ADVERTISEMENTTroops are expected to stay in Lebanon, Israeli officials said Monday, because “Trump’s agreement does not bind us.” But Iran’s foreign minister said any Israeli forces remaining in the country would constitute a violation of the fledgling deal.
