President Trump just gave the best response to a Fox News reporter who tried to shame him over the now-viral Pope meme.

I’m sure you’ve seen it by now, but a few days ago, the official White House account posted this:

It was a silly meme about President Trump being appointed as the next Pope.

Most Catholics were not offended and thought it was funny, because it was.

However, as expected, the MSM is full of fake outrage.

During today’s press briefing, Fox News’s Jacqui Heinrich launched her own inquisition against President Trump over the meme.

President Trump’s response was basically this: “It’s a meme, for heaven’s sake! Sorry the fake news media can’t take a joke!”

NEW: Trump SHUTS DOWN Fox News reporter over AI Pope meme.
Fox’s Jacqui Heinrich tried to manufacture outrage over a meme showing Trump dressed like the Pope—posted from the official White House account.
“Some Catholics were not so happy about the image of you looking like Pope,” she said.
Trump didn’t let it slide for a second. “Oh, I see. You mean, they can’t take a joke? You don’t mean the Catholics, you mean the fake news media—the Catholics loved it.”
“I had nothing to do with it. Somebody made up a picture of me dressed like the Pope and they put it on the internet. That’s not me that did it. I have no idea where that came from. Maybe it was AI. I know nothing about it.”
“I just saw it last evening. My wife thought it was cute. She said ‘Isn’t that nice?’”
But Heinrich kept pressing: “My question though, sir, is about the fact that it was put out on the White House account even though it was AI generated, it was a joke, a meme. Does it at all diminish the substance of the official White House account to have it go out on that particular channel?”
Trump hit her with a dose of reality: “Give me a break! It was just somebody did it in fun. It’s fine. Have to have a little fun, don’t you?”
President Trump’s takedown of the fake news media’s narrative was incredibly on-point and hilarious to watch, don’t get me wrong.
But, that bit about not being able to get married if he were Pope is what really got me.
“Actually, I would not be able to be married, though…To the best of my knowledge, popes are not big on getting married, are they? I think it’s the fake news media, they’re fakers.”
That was just pure gold.
Did you see the way NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell — who was standing behind President Trump — burst out laughing at that comment?
I bet Melania appreciated it more than any of us!
By the way, the point of this press conference in the first place was so that President Trump could announce that the 2027 NFL draft will be held in Washington, D.C.
Fox News reported:

The NFL Draft will be held on the National Mall in 2027, President Donald Trump announced Monday, with the expectation that more than 1 million people will come to the event over the course of its three days.

Trump spoke to the right of the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office of the White House. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Washington Commanders team owner Josh Harris and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser thanked the president for his cooperation in helping to get the deal done.

“The draft has really become one of the great entertainment and sports events,” Goodell said. “Over a week ago in Green Bay, we had over 600,000 people attend. The year before, in Detroit, we had close to 800,000. … We believe we’ll be well over a million when we come here to D.C. in 2027.

“Not only do we believe it’s a great site, we believe it’s consistent with what the president said, which is investing in our communities and investing specifically here in the nation’s capital. … We think we can have a tremendous impact on this community. It will not just be an event. It will be something that will show the world how far the nation’s capital has come and where it’s going.”

For some reason, instead of asking questions related to the big sports announcement, Jacqui Heinrich thought it was more important to grill President Trump on social media memes.
I didn’t realize the establishment media was so concerned about the sanctity of the Catholic faith.
Strangely, I still haven’t heard a peep from the media about this:
