On Saturday evening, a Secret Service agent acted swiftly to protect Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner.

The suspicious man, who was carrying a manila folder, walked near Ivanka and put his arm on her bodyguard, who then pushed him away.

In response, the man complained and retaliated against the Secret Service agent, pushing him back. In turn, the guard instantly shoved the man forcibly in the chest, sending him flying back!

In the video of the incident, bystanders can be heard gasping in the background.

A Secret Service agent wasn’t taking any chances last night. It appears that the agent believed a man got too close to Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump as they were leaving an event in South Beach and aggressively pushed him away.

The man then complained and appeared to grab the agent.

Some Secret Service agents say this is an example of an agent getting too rough with the public, and a possible indication of worktime stress as many USSS agent details are continuing to be stretched thin with long hours, including on VP Vance’s detail.

Yet, such an aggressive push may not be that uncommon. I, too, have been pushed forcefully aside when I thought I was minding my own business. I was up in the hall near the press gallery — and the USSS agents were clearing the way for First Lady Michelle Obama to come through before a SOTU. I was shaken up a little, but understood that the agents are on high alert on nights like those.

I’m also used to getting pushed and shoved from very aggressive photographers, cameramen and women on Capitol Hill and at the White House, so I sort of view it as a cost of doing business in D.C. journalism.

In case it’s a little hard to see exactly what went down, here’s a slow motion clip of the suspicious man walking up and putting his arm on the Secret Service agent:

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were heading back from an event in Miami when the man forced Secret Service to act.

The New York Post noted:

Ivanka Trump’s bodyguard forcefully shoved a man after he repeatedly tried to approach the president’s daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, following a night out in Miami.

The First Daughter, 43, was leaving the swanky Carbone Beach venue in Miami on Saturday night with her hubby when a man in tan shorts and a black T-shirt approached them, according to a video shared on TikTok.

The unidentified man was carrying a Manila folder and tried to sidle up to the couple as they were walking to a car…

Ivanka and her husband were in Miami for the F1 Miami Race Week, a three-night supper club experience sponsored by American Express.

Among the A-listers in attendance over the course of the three-day elite extravaganza were NFL stars past and present, Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.

First of all, thank you to that Secret Service agent for not taking any chances.

He reacted exactly as he should have to protect the President’s daughter.

Many folks on social media seem to agree:

Secondly, what on earth was that guy thinking or planning? He definitely looked like he was up to no good…

What stands out to me the most here is his audacity.

You could argue that maybe he didn’t realize it was the President’s daughter he was getting close to. Maybe he didn’t recognize her at first.

Maybe he didn’t know he was putting his arm on Secret Service (though, let’s be honest, who goes around touching random strangers like that?)

However, not only did he touch Secret Service, but he pushed the agent back after being shoved away.

That could have ended way worse for him than it did…
