President Trump was warmly received at the Kentucky Derby this weekend during what may have been the most exciting race in recent history.  The Kentucky Derby is one of the largest sporting events in the United States, with nearly 150,000 people attending in person this year.

The massive audience can be heard cheering and giving thunderous applause when President Trump is shown on the projector.  The crowd later starts breaking out in to patriotic chants.

President Biden’s greeting party in Kentucky last year was not as kind.  When Biden landed in Kentucky to assess the damage left by tornadoes last year, people yelled ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ at him.

Kentucky has a Democratic Governor, but President Trump won the state by a 26% margin in the 2020 Presidential election.

President Biden has a history of being poorly received at sporting events.  The ‘Lets Go Brandon’ chant originated from NASCAR fans chanting “F*ck Joe Biden” at a race.  A reporter mistakenly claimed that they were chanting Lets Go Brandon.

This year’s Kentucky Derby saw an unexpected come from behind victory.  Richard Strike won the race at the last second after trailing for most of the competition.  Strike was not slated to enter the race until last week, standing at 21st on the final points list, one spot behind what was necessary to qualify.  He was allowed to race after one trainer pulled their horse from the race.

Strike came from behind to get a first place finish, winning against 80 to 1 betting odds.
