A Liberal from LA recently went viral for going to a Trump rally and trying to make friends with the people there, despite their strongly differing political opinions.

Samuel Donner makes videos for Jubilee, a media channel that produces a wide range of content. Donner reached out to Jubilee with the idea of trying to make 100 new friends on his home campus of UCLA, and they agreed to partner with him on this endeavor. His TikTok, 100newfriends, quickly gained popularity.

After Donner finished his segment at UCLA, he decided that his next social experiment would take place at a Trump rally in Memphis, Tennessee – a very different environment than UCLA.

At first, Donner and his friend Malik were nervous because of Memphis’ rising crime rate, as well as their preconceived notions about Trump supporters being aggressive and hostile towards people with a different political view than they have.

Donner spent his first two days walking around the streets of Memphis and talking to people about their political opinions and the upcoming Trump rally. On day 3, Donner and Malik made their way to Landers Center to join thousands of the “dangerous MAGA Republicans” who came out to support Donald Trump.

He was able to sit down and talk with a lot of very friendly people, many of whom revealed they have plenty of liberal friends, and don’t prioritize political affiliation over a person’s character.

It seemed that the only unfriendly person Donner met was, in fact, another liberal reporter, Jordan Klepper, who refused to talk with him. Klepper goes around to these conservative events and tries to make everyone there look like idiots and unfriendly.

“He kind of represents what I think I like, am trying to not do,” said Donner after getting rejected by Klepper twice. “He exists within the liberal echo chamber.”

After the video of Donner’s Trump rally experience went viral, he appeared on Fox News to discuss his takeaways from this unique experience.

“It actually was much more friendly than I was expecting,” admitted Donner. “Growing up in LA you think that these events are going to be, like, very aggressive.”

“I was absolutely baffled that people wanted to talk and would actually be friends with me when I asked ‘Wanna be friends?'” he added.

“At the end of the day, humans have a lot more common ground than we’re led to believe.”

This doesn’t look too good for Joe Biden who recently told the nation that MAGA Republicans are a major threat to our country and to our democracy. He tried convincing everyone that Trump supporters are evil, hateful people who want to watch our country burn. However, as Donner discovered, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Hopefully, people watch this video and realize that they are being fed a false image of the GOP, and recognize that the liberal lawmakers are pushing false narratives in order to gain more control over the country, spreading hate and dividing the U.S. in the process.
