Over 20 injuries have been reported at a Christmas parade in Waukesha, WI after an SUV plowed through police barricades and ran down parade-goers.  Screams and gunfire were heard at the scene.

Waukesha Police locked down a 1/2 mile radius around the area where the incident took place.

CBS 5 is reporting that at least one person has died and over 20 are severely injured.

Eye-witness accounts continue to be shared on social media.

Molly Beck of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the scene is now “safe.”

Another report, however, is claiming Carroll University is still on lockdown. The university is 1.5 miles away from the scene of the horrific crime.

She also reported that Waukesha School Board member Corey Montiho said his daughter’s dance team was hit by the SUV.

“They were pom-poms and shoes and spilled hot chocolate everywhere. I had to go from one crumpled body to the other to find my daughter. My wife and two daughters were almost hit.”
