After a man’s plot to kill Justice Kavanaugh, Democrats and the media are under scrutiny
In the aftermath of the arrest of a California man who plotted to kill Justice Kavanaugh, journalist Glenn Greenwald asks the question: “who radicalized him?”
Of course, this was a rhetorical question. Greenwald knows precisely who is to blame and wastes no time in pointing the finger to MSNBC’s Joy Reid.
We don't yet know if this would-be Kavanaugh murderer watches Joy Reid's show — chances are very high he didn't since virtually nobody does — but she regularly calls the Justice a Christian nationalist who favors theocracy. Greenwald also compares this event to when a fan of Rachel Maddow attempted to murder several GOP members at a softball game several years ago.
It reminds me of that time when a fanatical follower of Rachel Maddow tried to kill a bunch of GOP members of Congress at a softball field based on his belief that they were Russian assets and traitors.
There, too, this blame standard wasn't invoked. It's confounding.🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/60IhFhMLK6

In both instances, the media tried to downplay their involvement in radicalizing the would-be killer.
However, it is not just that the media played a role in radicalizing these individuals, they also play defense for the Democrats who have, in the case of the plot to kill Kavanaugh, perhaps encouraged it.
From Fox News:
Media analyst and contributor Joe Concha called the media disinterest in Kavanaugh’s attacker both “sad and pathetic.”
“If a Republican Senator or lawmaker had attacked a liberal Justice like Sotomayor or Kagan or Jackson, declared without ambiguity that ‘they will pay the price,’ it is virtually guaranteed you would see wall-to-wall coverage if an attempt was made on their lives,” he said, referring to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s, D-N.Y., comments in 2020 about conservative justices, including Kavanaugh.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” remains Schumer’s famous line which threatened the Court.
Similarly, Pelosi, Psaki, and the White House have encouraged the protests outside of the Justice’s homes after their addresses were released in a doxxing by a radical left group.
“This did not take place in a political vacuum, Democrats have a years-long effort to delegitimize and demonize the Supreme Court, through vile obstruction of nominations, as happened with Justice Kavanaugh, and threats to pack the court,” Cornell Law School professor William A. Jacobson said when discussing the topic.
And back to the media, there is no shortage of disgusting and even violent comments against Kavanaugh.
In 2018, late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel also dug into Kavanaugh. He told his audience it was only fair that if the then-nominee was elevated to the nation’s high court, then it was only fair he should have his “pesky penis”chopped off.
So who radicalized the would-be killer? Clearly there is no shortage of contributing individuals.
