Why Has One Of Biden’s Departments Stockpiled More Than 5 MILLION Rounds of AMMO While Calling For Strict Gun Control at the Same Time?

Recently, the Biden administration has been demanding stricter gun control for U.S. Citizens. However, U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) noted something curious about its firearms policy.

One department seems to be hoarding ammunition, and not who you might think. It’s the IRS.

Why has the IRS purchased over $700,000 on AMMO — and now adding 87,000 new ‘enforcement’ agents?

(That’s enough AMMO for a small army.)

100 Percent Fed Up reported on Sunday:

Part of Democrat Joe Manchin’s “Inflation Reduction Act” would double the size of the IRS and make it larger than defense and security agencies, including the FBI and border patrol.

As if trying to raise taxes on small businesses and the middle class during the height of a recession is not bad enough, Democrats want to double the size of the IRS to ensure that these taxes are ‘properly’ paid.

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz worries about more than just Biden’s higher taxes on the middle class and has chosen to take on what is one of the largest and now well-armed forces that has ever been assembled for deployment against the American people.

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz seeks to “disarm” the IRS – literally.

In an email to constituents, the Fort Walton Beach Republican announced that he had filed the “Disarm the IRS Act.”

U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01), along with Reps. Jeff Duncan (SC-03), Paul Gosar (AZ-04), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) introduced the “Disarm the IRS Act” of 2022, prohibiting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from acquiring, by purchase or otherwise, any ammunition after the bill’s enactment.

‘Weaponize the IRS?’

‘What does an accountant at the IRS need a firearm for?’

Biden has made it clear (as shown in the video below) that he wants to infringe upon America’s second amendment rights. Yet, according to Gaetz, the IRS purchased $725,000 worth of ammunition during the first seven months of 2022.

During his Tuesday appearance on Fox News, Gaetz explained,

MATT GAETZ: Call me old-fashioned, but I thought the heaviest artillery an IRS agent would need would be a calculator. I imagine the IRS in green eyeshades and cubicles — not busting doors down and emptying Glock clips on our fellow Americans. Certainly it’s troubling that in 2022 alone, the IRS has spent around $725,000 on ammunition. So here’s the Biden plan: Disarm Americans, open the border, empty the prisons — but rest assured, they’ll still collect your taxes, and they need $725,000 worth of ammunition, apparently, to get the job done.

“Tax cheat” isn’t usually a term we hear alongside “armed and dangerous.” And there was a report that showed over a 10-year period, the IRS actually stockpiled $11 million worth of ammunition.

That’s why I’m working on legislation to put a total moratorium on the IRS buying ammo. When we used to talk about the IRS being weaponized, we were talking about political discrimination, not actual weapons for the IRS.

Undeniably, part of the strategy is that with one hand, the Biden regime is doing everything they can to suppress access to ammunition for regular Americans, while with the other hand, they are scooping up all the ammo that they can possibly find.

I’m not against stockpiling ammunition, but you shouldn’t have to be a D.C. accountant to do it; you ought to be able to be a mechanic in Pensacola.

He continued, noting that the Biden White House is seeking to “disarm Americans, open the border, empty the prisons,” and “still collect your taxes” with $725,000 worth of ammunition.

The IRS spent more than 20 million dollars on guns and ammo between 2006 and 2019.

Gaetz recently appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss why the IRS is ramping up its arsenal and ammo stockpile.

In the interview, Gaetz warned efforts to bolster the Internal Revenue Service were an effort by the Biden administration and Democrats to “weaponize” the government against its people.

Gaetz discusses the bill he introduced that would stop the IRS from acquiring more ammunition. The IRS spent more than 20 million dollars on guns and ammo between 2006 and 2019. Gaetz said that paired with Democrats’ opposition to firearms; it had prompted him to propose legislation.

“Well, Joe Biden is raising taxes, disarming Americans, so of course, they are arming up the IRS like they’re preparing to take Fallujah,” he said. “Like you mentioned, five million rounds of ammunition, 4,500 firearms, automatic weapons, and $731,000 of taxpayer money spent this year to quite literally weaponize your government against you.”

“So, it’s not really that Joe Biden and the Democrats hate guns,” Gaetz continued. “They just hate law-abiding Americans having them, and they take the money from the people to go and have their own little private arsenals, and it is particularly egregious from a country that militarizes its bureaucracies and then forces its grandmothers to go and fend for themselves on dangerous streets because they defund the police and have cashless bail and other hug-a-thug woke criminal justice policies. That’s why I’m introducing legislation to stop it.”

Rep. Jeff Duncan posted on Twitter in mid-June to question why the IRS has need of such “heavy firepower” for enforcement purposes against the American people.

Unlike most federal legislation, which often runs hundreds or thousands of pages that few lawmakers ever read, Gaetz’s bill is one sentence:

“Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Internal Revenue Service may not acquire (by purchase or otherwise) any ammunition after the date of the enactment of this Act.”

The “Disarm the IRS Act” would stop the IRS from acquiring more ammunition.
