When did it become okay for CEO’s of large investment firms to threaten Americans who support our President?

Since President Trump took office, California has been the epicenter of the resistance, home to countless protests, marches, impromptu airport rallies and, of course, commentary of various kinds on Facebook and Twitter.

But it’s all been done at a distance because Trump has avoided California. Until this week.

Apparently, Ross Gerber, CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management doesn’t believe that Trump supporters should have the right to show their support for our President. The Gerber Kawasaki President and CEO took to Twitter today, to threaten “anyone who is hosting or attending the Trump fundraiser in LA”.

Gerber tweeted: “If you are hosting or attending the Trump fundraiser in LA we will identify who you are to the media and public. We will boycott your business’. We will do everything to fight you destroying our state. Trump is the devil. RT

Since we published our story, Gerber deleted the tweet he was so proud of earlier. We suspected he might delete it, so we took a screenshot. Sorry Ross, but the internet is forever. Here’s Gerber’s tweet that he deleted:

Before he threatened Trump supporters, Gerber called Trump supporters “scumbags” and speculated about who he believed would be hosting a Trump fundraiser: “Trump will be in San Diego working on his wall and west LA getting money from scumbags. We will find out who is doing the fundraiser and we will be there. I bet Tom Barrack and his fraud company Colony are hosting. I’ll find out where he lives. Come join me.  “

Gerber got quite a bit of blowback after he posted the threat to Twitter:

This Twitter user threatened to report Gerber to the Compliance Officer for representing a company on his Twitter account and making THREATS to people:

“Gone Galt-#NoDaca” also suggested that “Patriots” boycott Gerber’s business, reminding everyone that “Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management (“GK”) is an SEC-registered investment adviser located in Santa Monica, CA”

Gerber appeared to be proud that he made so many “Trumpys” angry:

Gerber proceeded to brag about the engagement numbers on his threat (that he has since deleted):
