Law enforcement joined Kari Lake, the GOP nominee for Arizona Governor, along with Abe Hamadeh, the AG nominee, for a press conference Friday to outline Lake’sLake’s policy proposal to support law enforcement in the state and cut down on crime.

The media took the same tired narrative accusing law enforcement of racial discrimination. Lake accused the media of taking a small sliver of the story from police body cams without giving the full context of what police officers are doing.

When asked if police are racists and target minorities, Lake responded,

Every Arizonan wants safety and security in their neighborhood. It doesn’t matter what your skin color is. And if you look at stats, you will look and see that police do not target people of color. That is a lie that’s been perpetuated by the left and then spread and disseminated and re-spread in the media.”

Abe Hamadeh also responded,

“Look behind us. You’re acting as if it’s one race that’s joining the law enforcement agencies…they’re not targeting people based on race,” Hamadeh, a former Maricopa County prosecutor and former Army Reserve intelligence officer, said.

When asked about Katie Hobbs in an earlier press conference, Kari Lake pointed out that “no one asks her tough questions,” “it almost seems like the media is working for Katie Hobbs, the way they handle me versus the way they handle her? But I’m okay with it; I’m tough, and we need a strong fighter.”

Lake went on to say Hobbs is racist “she is a convicted racist, and she has practiced discriminatory hiring practices” Katie Hobbs was a BLM activist and tried to scrub that fact from her social media profile.
