As British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, NBC’s Chuck Todd asks when we will see Biden in Kyiv

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, met with Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy in Kyiv to discuss tightening of economic sanctions on Russia as well as an increase in military aid from the UK to the invaded country, begging the question from NBC’s Chuck Todd–when will we see Biden in Kyiv?

From NewsMax:

“Together with our partners, we are going to ratchet up the economic pressure and we will continue to intensify, week by week, the sanctions on Russia,” Johnson said in comments to the media, standing alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. His visit to the Ukrainian capital was previously unannounced.

Johnson told Zelenskyy earlier in a private meeting that Britain would provide the country with 120 armored vehicles and new anti-ship missile systems.

The aid was in addition to 100 million pounds’ ($130 million) worth of high-grade military equipment announced on Friday, Downing Street said.

While the US has contributed substantially to Ukraine’s military since the onset of Russia’s invasion, we have yet to see Biden meet with Zelenskyy in Ukraine’s capital since the war the way that Johnson just did, despite having been invited by Zelenskyy. Symbolically, this shows a lack of real support.

NBC’s Chuck Todd seemingly recognizes this as he asks National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan if we will see Biden in Kyiv, to which, the answer seems to be no.

“It was quite the symbol to see Prime Minister Boris Johnson walking the streets of Kyiv with President Zelenskyy. It raises the question: are we gonna see President Biden in Kyiv?”

NSA JAKE SULLIVAN: “Biden doesn’t currently have any plans to travel to Kyiv.”

Covering hard for Biden, Sullivan claims that Biden is showing solidarity with the Ukrainian people by sitting around in his office. When pressed by Todd about it, Sullivan admits that there are no current plans for a trip to Kyiv.

Many believe that Biden has been weak on Russia, perhaps due to his son’s business dealings in the country which resulted in receiving millions from Moscow. His refusal to go to Kyiv and show symbolic support the way that leaders of Poland the UK have further makes him appear weak in his support of Ukraine over Russia, despite the funds and equipment we have sent over.

What exactly is Biden afraid of? The most likely guess is that it does indeed pertain to Hunter Biden’s illicit business dealings in the embattled nations.

In any case, a person who is too corrupt and afraid to stand up to Russia, or any country, is unfit for office.
