President Trump held a press conference (video below) to update the American people on what the federal government is doing to try and prevent an outbreak of coronavirus in the US.
He did a great job of reassuring everyone that he’s being proactive and doing everything he can to stop the spread of the virus.
One of the best moments of the press conference was an off-the-cuff explanation from the president on preventing the spread of the virus. He used an example of someone who hugged him after sneezing. It was a funny moment during a serious discussion that shows a side of the president that makes people gravitate to him.

OUR PREVIOUS REPORT ON THE PRESS CONFERENCE:
President Trump spoke out on what the administration is doing about the coronavirus outbreak around the world.
He said the risk to Americans is very low because his administration was proactive from the beginning with travel restrictions and quarantines. There are 15 cases of coronavirus in the US, and most of the people are doing well.
“Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low.”

The administration is asking for funds to help with prevention. Congress is willing to give the administration $8 million.
The president went on to talk about the world leaders he’s spoken to about their efforts to contain the virus.
President Trump compared deaths from the flu every year to the deaths from coronavirus. He spoke about how the US is #1 in preparedness for something like the coronavirus.
VP Pence will be in charge of coordinating the administration’s efforts to keep the coronavirus from spreading in the US.
The president announced that a Task Force would coordinate the government response to the coronavirus threat lead by VP Pence: “He’s got a certain talent for this. I look forward to serving in this role,”
Earlier today, the president called out the Democrats and the media for fearmongering about the coronavirus for political benefit:

Even though San Francisco has no cases of coronavirus, they’ve announced a state of emergency:

Democrats like Senator Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are fearmongering about this virus. It’s almost as if they wish for an outbreak in the US so that it will harm the president. How low can they go?
