The Conservative Brief reports that this week, White House press secretary Jen Psaki suffered a Freudian slip; this Freudian slip happened when the top Biden aide stated that a “crisis at the border” was a situation the Biden administration is working on on to fix. Only after a press member noted that Psaki referred to the situation as a “crisis” did she change her tune and state that “challenges” instead are an issue.
Challenges indeed have led to the ongoing crisis. Facilities are rapidly becoming overwhelmed, and Americans don’t have the resources to house the migrants coming to the Southern border. Due to the dereliction of the Biden administration, more horrors await.
According to Breitbart News, the situation that Biden has allowed to spin out of control at the Southern border is paving the way to child sex trafficking.
When Biden got into the White House, one of the first moves he made was rescinding immigration and border policies from the previous administration. As the Southern border crisis gets more dangerous, the Biden administration, rather than acknowledging and fixing its errors, is proudly proclaiming that they don’t take advice on policy from former President Trump.
This is nothing to brag about, though. According to Republican Florida Rep. Maria Salazar, the surge of migrant arrivals at the Southern border is engendering hikes in forced labor, child smuggling, and child sex trafficking. Likewise, Utah GOP Rep. Burgess Owens stated that three out of ten migrant women and girls who arrive at the Southern border are doomed to face rape.
After stating that President Biden should be “ashamed” for what he’s allowed to happen, Rep. Owens explained that many migrant children are also dying as they attempt to make their way to the border.
Demanding Accountability from the 46th President
The current president has yet to take responsibility for his role in the Southern border’s ongoing calamities. Ignorance won’t make these problems go away; neither will pretending as if the crisis isn’t there.
Republicans are therefore continuing to hold Biden accountable. GOP lawmakers are demanding change, proper reform, and order restored to the Southern border once more.
40 Republican senators have penned a letter to the U.S. Government Accountability office; in this letter, GOP legislators request to know whether or not Biden overstepped his legal bounds by halting border wall funding via executive order.
