During the Trump administration, the mainstream media claimed that press freedom was under an unprecedented attack by the President.  The mast of the Washington Post website read ‘Democracy Dies In Darkness’.  Despite this, President Trump gave the press more access than any President in recent history, while Biden has held fewer press conferences per month than almost any President in recorded history.

Biden himself has been hostile to reporters who ask difficult questions.

Now, a spokesperson in Biden’s state department has accused a veteran AP reporter of being disloyal to the United States this week.

“You say that they have taken but you have shown no evidence to confirm that and I’m gonna get to the next question here, which is, what is the evidence that they plan … I mean, this is like crisis actors? Really?” asked Matthew Lee of The Associated Press.

“This is like Alex Jones territory you’re getting into there,” the State Dept official said, in an attempt to mock the AP reporter.

“What evidence do you have to support the idea that there is some propaganda film in the making?” he asked.

State Department spokesperson Ned Price explained that intelligence had been declassified in order to share it publicly.

“Where is the declassified information?” the AP reporter asked.

“I just delivered it,”  Ned Price snapped back.

The AP reporter shot back, “No, you made a series of allegations.”

“I would like to see some proof that—shows that the Russians are doing that,” the Biden State Department spokesperson said.

Lee continued to probe.

‘I’m sorry, you don’t like the content,’ Price responded. ‘I’m sorry you are doubting the information that is in the possession of the U.S. government, Price whined in response to the AP reporter’s demands.

The Daily Mail reports– Price said U.S. officials needed to protect ‘sources and methods’ and ended their testy five-minute exchange by telling Lee: ‘If you doubt the credibility of the U.S. government, of the British government, of other governments, and want to find solace in the information that the Russians are putting out that is for you to do.’
