The Acting Defense Secretary has ordered a Pentagon-wide stop to cooperation with the transition of President-elect Biden.

Axios reports that the move sent shockwaves throughout the Defense Department and that a top Biden official was “unaware” of the halt by Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller.

Does this signal mistrust in the Biden transition team? Read between the lines. Miller will be meeting with President Trump and Vice President Pence this afternoon at the White House.

After Defense Secretary Mark Esper was fired, Chris Miller was appointed on November 9th. Transition meetings with the Biden officials were going slow when suddenly, Defense Department officials were told to cancel transition meetings on Thursday night.

The Pentagon official response downplayed the halt of meetings, saying it was “a simple delay of the last few scheduled meetings until after the new year.

Could the meeting today with the Acting Defense Secretary have anything to do with President Trump’s 2018 EO?

In 2018, POTUS declared a national emergency to deal with the threat of foreign interference in US elections. In 5 days, a report is due by DNI John Ratcliffe to be delivered to Steve Mnuchin, Chris Miller, Chad Wolf, Mike Pompeo, Bill Barr, & the POTUS.
