An active-shooter response is unfolding near the In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Police are telling the public to stay away while officers search the area and first responders work behind a wide perimeter.

Twin Falls Police Department says its officers are responding to an active-shooter incident in the area of the In-N-Out restaurant. The warning applied to both local residents and visitors in the busy commercial corridor.
The department asked residents and visitors to avoid the area so police and emergency crews can work safely. Roads in the area, including the Perrine Bridge, were closed, and drivers were instructed to use alternate routes.
Police had not publicly released a suspect description, confirmed how many people were involved, or announced confirmed casualty information at the time of this report.
The department said additional details would be released when they became available. Its immediate instruction was simple: stay out of the closed area and give officers room to work.
No reopening estimate was announced for the bridge or surrounding roads, and police did not say when the public-safety warning might be lifted.

KMVT/KSVT reported that the response was centered near the newly opened In-N-Out along Blue Lakes Boulevard.
Rock Creek Fire Chief Aaron Zent told the station that law enforcement was searching a hotel overlooking the visitor center. The station reported that the Perrine Bridge and nearby roads were shut down as of approximately 3:30 p.m. local time.
Businesses in the shopping area were placed on lockdown while the parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods was cleared. Officers from Twin Falls, Buhl, Jerome, and Idaho State Police were at the scene alongside Twin Falls Fire and Magic Valley Paramedics.
Video circulating online appears to show gunfire in the area. The footage is disturbing, and police have not yet provided the full sequence of events or identified every armed person seen in the clips.

One clip appears to show an armed person firing in an outdoor commercial area. It does not, by itself, establish that person’s identity, whether anyone was struck, or exactly where the clip falls in the timeline.
A second video appears to show shots fired toward a parked vehicle. Its relationship to the initial report and the condition of anyone who may have been nearby were not confirmed by authorities.

The location had opened only days earlier.
KMVT/KSVT’s opening-day coverage reported that the Twin Falls restaurant began serving customers on July 24 after some fans lined up overnight.
The city and In-N-Out had prepared a traffic-management plan for the expected crowds, including controlled access to the drive-thru and possible closures near the Perrine Bridge if congestion became too heavy.
The restaurant’s queue plan could hold more than 150 vehicles on the surrounding property. Drivers were directed to enter from Fillmore Street, and officials warned visitors not to block intersections, driveways, business entrances, or travel lanes.
The city had also modified the traffic signal at Blue Lakes Boulevard and Bridgeview and planned to redirect drivers toward Canyon Springs Road if the bridge-side entrance became congested.
Now that same busy commercial corridor is under a very different kind of emergency response.
Anyone in Twin Falls should follow police instructions, avoid Blue Lakes Boulevard near the restaurant and bridge, and leave the area clear for law enforcement and medical crews.
Above all, do not approach the area to watch, record, or search for the suspect. Let the officers on scene do their jobs.
