Five leaders in Iraq’s pro-Iranian militia have been killed in an airstrike on their convoy north of Baghdad.

One key person hit in the airstrike is Shibl al-Zaydi. Al-Zaydi served as a financial coordinator of armed groups in Iraq and assisted in facilitating Iraqi investments on behalf of General Soleimani.

The latest airstrike comes almost 24 hours after the first airstrike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

The Associated Press is reporting that this was not an airstrike by the US military.
