On May 18, 2019, Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) fired off a series of tweets, joining the chorus of Democrat lawmakers who wanted to see President Trump impeached over his handling of Mueller’s phony witch hunt that was initiated after Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC paid for a phony Russian dossier, then used it as a basis for our intelligence community to spy on the Trump campaign. Apparently, Amash, who prides himself on being a “constitutionalist” is less bothered by the spying than Trump’s reaction to the spying.

On April 28, Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI), the former Republican who’s been suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome since January 2017, announced on Twitter that he’s launched a presidential exploratory committee to seek the Libertarian Party’s nomination.

This week, after declassified documents released by acting DNI Rick Grenell, revealed that President Trump and his campaign were victims of former President Obama’s regime, who spied upon them, Justin Amash, who’s as unpopular with Republicans as he is with Democrats, announced that he won’t be running against Trump for president.

I’ve spent nearly three weeks assessing the race, appearing in media, talking to delegates and donors, watching the Libertarian Party’s convention plan unfold, and gathering feedback from family, friends, and other advisers.

After much reflection, I’ve concluded that circumstances don’t lend themselves to my success as a candidate for president this year, and therefore I will not be a candidate.

This was a difficult decision for me, especially having seen grassroots supporters put so much effort into this campaign. It’s been humbling and awesome.

Conservative comedian Tim Young summed up Amash quitting the race by translating his tweets:

Justin Amash Translated: “I’ve enjoyed 3 weeks of free drinks, lunches, and dinners from suckers… but people are starting to ask questions…”

A recent Monmouth poll showed Amash getting a whopping 5% of the vote.

Buh-bye Justin. Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out…
