The ambush of two LA police officers earlier this month was caught on video  (see below) and stunned the nation. The video shows someone with a gun extended, shooting into a police cruiser in Compton, California. A subsequent and equally stunning video (see below) showed the injured female police officer trying to help her male partner who was also injured.

The two officers survived the shooting thanks to the 34-year-old female officer who was able to apply a tourniquet to her 24-year-old male partner.

Mark Cuban announced a donation of $50K to each officer:

Our previous report on the shooting:

Only moments ago, the LA County Sheriffs Department tweeted a heartbreaking message:

Moments ago, 2 of our Sheriff Deputies were shot in Compton and were transported to a local hospital. They are both still fighting for their lives, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We will update this thread with information as it becomes available.

They followed up with a video of the gunman “walking up on the deputies and opening fire without warning or provocation.”

According to the LA County Sheriff’s Office, one of the deputies who was shot was a male the other one was a female. Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in critical condition. They are both currently undergoing surgery and the gunman is still at large.

Keith Hayes, a huge #BlacksForTrump supporter and veteran is asking for prayers for the male deputy who was shot tonight in Compton, sharing with his followers that the cop is his nephew. Hayes didn’t have any updates other than to say he is in serious condition.

Only 9 hours ago, Keith was celebrating being free of heroin for 9 years. What a horrible tragedy to endure on such a special day. Please keep Keith and his nephew in your prayers.

Americans are praying for these brave law enforcement officers who were shot by a coward.

President Trump tweeted the video of the cowardly thug shooting the two innocent Sheriff deputies, saying, “Animals that must be hit hard!”

Juno Maxwell tweeted:

This is straight up evil!! I’m sorry to hear this is happening and as a black man, i’m ashamed that BLM lunatics keep fear mongering and fueling hatred against cops on my behalf. Its despicable!!
