In late May, Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, was arrested for driving under the influence in Napa, California.

Paul was released on $5,000 bail later that day.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not offered comment on her husband’s arrest since the incident happened over three weeks ago, though her spokesperson called it a ‘private matter’ that she would not be giving a response on.

The incident was originally only supposed to result in a misdemeanor, as he was only charged with driving under the influence, but now the driver who he had a collision with has reported injuries.

As a result, Paul was also charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Injury, a charge that could result in jail time.
