The AP is reporting that House speaker Paul Ryan will not seek reelection:

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., won’t run for re-election in November, the Associated Press reported, citing a source. Ryan, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1999, has served as speaker since October 2015. He was the GOP Vice Presidential Nominee in 2012.
RYAN’S STATEMENT:
President Trump just tweeted:
Speaker Paul Ryan is a truly good man, and while he will not be seeking re-election, he will leave a legacy of achievement that nobody can question. We are with you Paul!

A good man? That’s very generous of President Trump…
Remember that Paul Ryan has been a very lukewarm supporter of President Trump. At times, he’s even spoken against the Republican President.
Ryan says he’s retiring to spend more time with his family. We think he’s a coward that wants out before the midterms. Maybe he’ll be spending his time in retirement looking for his spine.
This is a signal to everyone that he believes Republicans won’t hold the House. This is really, really bad for conservatives!
