DNI Chief John Ratcliffe announced tonight with FBI Director Christopher Wray that Iran and Russia have obtained some US voter registration information. He said that “these actions are desperate attempts by desperate adversaries”

Intel officials have seen Iran sending spoofed emails “designed to intimidate voters, create social unrest, and hurt President Trump.”

”We would like to alert the public that we have identified that two foreign actors, Iran and Russia, have taken specific actions to influence public opinion relating to our elections.”

Influencing public opinion against President Trump involved communications with voters. Fake emails were used to intimidate American voters.
