The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on their website that they were finally able to charge an illegal immigrant who was recently released by the sanctuary city status of Philadelphia and then not long after had been convicted of raping a child. Not only was the man breaking the law by sneaking into America without being a citizen, the whole child rape thing throws it right overboard and this could have been prevented if the city of Philadelphia didn’t adopt the horrendous sanctuary city status that’s plaguing the nation with crimes like this.

The man’s name is Juan Ramon Vasquez and he’s a citizen of Honduras. The DOJ was able to charge him with illegal reentry after deportation. Vasquez pleaded guilty. He was originally deported back in 2009 but then found back in America in 2014. Something happened and he was arrested and back in the hands of the police. The Philadelphia police/Department of Prisons, under the sanctuary city status, had to set him free despite common sense saying that they should have sent the illegal immigrant directly into the hands of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since he was a repeat offender. Thanks to the horrible decisions in alignment with the sanctuary city status, the man was released back into society where he later raped a child, found guilty, and was sitting in jail. It’s safe to say that sanctuary city status is what helped a child get raped by an illegal immigrant. Had the illegal alien been sent to ICE, then the child rape could have easily been prevented as the man would have likely been deported again and not anywhere near that helpless child.

This rape should be on the hands of anyone who supports sanctuary city status. Mayor Jim Kenney of Philadelphia was recently seen celebrating sanctuary city status by dancing on video, a truly sick display and clearly, he wasn’t thinking about the victims that emerge as a result of the sanctuary status. He basically danced on a child rape victim.

This is exactly why being a sanctuary city is a horrible idea. If we could save but one child, then it’s worth it, right? Too bad we couldn’t save the boy who was raped.

The DOJ released this article regarding the situation:
“Philadelphia, PA – U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain announced that Juan Ramon Vasquez, a citizen of Honduras, pleaded guilty today to illegal reentry after deportation. In May 2009, the defendant was deported from the United States. Thereafter, in March 2014, the defendant was found back in the United States by U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) officers. At that time, Vasquez was in the custody of the Philadelphia Department of Prisons.

The City of Philadelphia thereafter chose not to comply with a detainer lodged by ICE for the defendant, who was instead released from custody by the Philadelphia Department of Prisons. After his release, the defendant was rearrested and convicted for rape of a child and unlawful sexual contact with a minor. The defendant is currently serving a sentence of 8 to 20 years in state prison.

The defendant, having now pleaded guilty to the federal charge of illegal reentry after deportation, faces a maximum possible sentence of two years in federal prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 20, 2018, by the Honorable Nitza I. Quiñones Alejandro.

“The facts of this case highlight the danger posed by the City of Philadelphia’s decision to disregard ICE detainers and release previously deported aliens from local custody,” said U.S. Attorney McSwain. “Those of us in the law enforcement business should be doing everything in our power to protect vulnerable children from predators like Vasquez. Instead, this defendant received a free pass from the City of Philadelphia and its Department of Prisons, headed straight back into our community, and committed a heinous crime he never would have had the chance to commit had the City of Philadelphia complied with the ICE detainer.”

The case was investigated by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Vineet Gauri.”

Interestingly enough, Stu Bykofsky covered this criminal in a story dating back to at least August 6 of 2016. That was two years ago and Philadelphia still hasn’t learned their lesson with how bad sanctuary city status really is. Jim Kenney took office in Philadelphia that year in early January. He surely had time to find out about this, if he wanted to.

It’s time to stop voting Democrat. When the working man is taxed like crazy and the poor people remain in poverty, then it’s obvious that Democratic mayors have no intent on improving their city.

Get on that red wave and keep riding! #VoteRed #WalkAway
