Donald Trump will hold a rally in Florida the night of the third GOP presidential primary debate.

Republican presidential candidates who decide to participate in the debate will gather in Miami on November 8th.

Meanwhile, the Trump rally will take place in Hialeah, roughly 15 miles away.

Per The Hill:

The rally will mark the third consecutive time Trump has sought to counterprogram the GOP’s 2024 primary debates. Trump sat for an interview with ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson that aired during the first debate in August, and he spoke to workers in Michigan during the second debate in September.

He had previously indicated he would skip the third GOP primary debate, and his campaign has called for the Republican National Committee (RNC) to cancel all remaining debates and instead rally behind him in anticipation of the general election.

Trump is leading comfortably in state and national polls of the GOP primary field, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley jockeying for second.

An Emerson College poll released Friday showed Trump polling at 59 percent, with DeSantis and Haley tied for second place at 8 percent.

According to The Hill, only Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy have qualified for the third GOP primary debate.

NBC News will host the debate, moderated by Lester Holt, Kirsten Welker, and Hugh Hewitt.

The RNC announced:

Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced that it has selected NBC News, Salem Radio Network, the Republican Jewish Coalition, and Rumble as partners for the third Republican presidential primary debate, which will take place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County on November 8, 2023. As with the first and second debates, Rumble will be the exclusive RNC livestream provider and the RNC’s exclusive online home for the third debate.

“I am eager to announce that the RNC has selected NBC News, Salem Radio Network, the Republican Jewish Coalition, and Rumble as our partners for the third Republican primary debate in Miami. The partners for our third debate will offer our candidates an excellent opportunity to meet the moment and contrast their plans and vision with the failures of the Biden White House.” – RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel

“NBC News has a long history of fostering conversations with the leaders that seek to shape domestic politics and foreign policy. For us, there is no higher responsibility. We look forward to continuing our leading reporting on the 2024 presidential race and spotlighting the issues that matter most to voters as they head to the polls.” – Rebecca Blumenstein, President of NBC News Editorial
