The FBI and DOJ were ordered by the FISA court judge to correct problems with FISA warrants before the latest news that the judge has demanded information about the FBI lawyer linked to the Carter Page warrant. The FBI lawyer in question has already resigned and faces possible criminal prosecution (see below) for altering documents to get the warrant on Page.
Fox News is reporting: The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court’s presiding judge has sent another directive to the Justice Department, ordering officials to identify previous surveillance requests from an FBI lawyer linked to the 2016 warrant from former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
In an order unsealed Friday, Judge Rosemary Collyer asked the Justice Department to identify steps to ensure the accuracy of those filings and whether the unnamed DOJ lawyer was ever disciplined.
DOJ inspector general Michael Horowitz recently identified in a scathing public report numerous mistakes and omissions in the warrant used against Page that launched the FBI investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
MORE ON THE FBI LAWYER IN QUESTION:
Former foreign policy adviser to President Trump Carter Page discusses with Maria Bartiromo reports of an FBI employee altering documents in the 2016 Russia probe (see the previous report below).
He also discussed the false narrative being pushed by Democrats and the FBI’s surveillance of him for information on the Trump campaign.
Page weighs in on what might come out in the Inspector General’s report on the Russia probe:
President Trump has exposed the corruption and the Deep State like no other president.
It’s why they want to take him down.

The first leak came out via CNN:
CNN claims that several people who were briefed on “the matter” are reporting that an “FBI official is under criminal investigation” for altering a FISA document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The possibility of a substantive change to an investigative document is likely to fuel accusations from President Donald Trump and his allies that the FBI committed wrongdoing in its investigation of connections between Russian election meddling and the Trump campaign.
Horowitz turned over evidence on the allegedly altered document to John Durham.
It’s unknown how significant a role the altered document played in the FBI’s investigation of Page and whether the FISA warrant would have been approved without the document. The alterations were significant enough to have shifted the document’s meaning and came up during a part of Horowitz’s FISA review where details were classified, according to the sources.
