On Thursday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) held a press conference and was joined by Florida’s surgeon general, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, who shared his skepticism about the safety of the mRNA Covid vaccines.

The event was put on by DeSantis to celebrate Florida’s progress three years into Covid and their resistance to the “Faucian dystopia” that the Biden administration pushed on the country.

“Florida, we played an important role over the last three years,” said DeSantis. “I think we were one of the first states to see the experts were getting it wrong and we resolved to charge a different course.”

“We are not going to let this state descend into a Faucian dystopia, not on our watch,” he added.

At the conference, Dr. Ladapo spoke about the mRNA Covid vaccines, saying that they have a “terrible safety profile.” He advised that, due to their ineffectiveness, people should not risk getting the vaccine.

“The reality is Florida and Gov. DeSantis’ leadership and decisions that he made for this state and direction this state went were absolutely correct,” Ladapo said.

“People believe that what is happening isn’t actually happening,” said Ladapo. “These vaccines have a terrible safety profile. At this point in the pandemic, I’m not sure anyone should be taking them, that is the honest truth. I don’t think anybody probably should be taking them.”

The surgeon general also threw criticism at the FDA and CDC for “denying the truth” to American citizens. He said, “Unfortunately, the CDC ad FDA, the most consistent thing they’ve done is deny the truth. Whether it was pushing masks… pushing the vaccines in little kids, all these low-value divisive policies that they did.”

Citing a study from the Lancet journal, Ladapo said that researchers showed “that after seven months, the protection from infection started around 70%, [then it goes] down down down… At seven months, it hops onto the other side of the axis.”

“So it is negative, and that continues,” said Ladapo. “The magnitude of that negativity increases over time. What does that mean, folks? It literally means that the people who received that vaccine were more likely to contract COVID-19 after seven months than the people who did not. That is a fact. Has the CDC or FDA ever said a word about that? No.”
