A heckler interrupted President Donald Trump’s Kentucky rally Saturday, and Trump promptly turned the interruption into a roast.
His suggested destination for the man?
Back home to his mother.
Trump was speaking in Highland Heights on October 17 when he paused to address the disturbance.
The president didn’t launch into a lengthy argument with the heckler. He went straight for a joke about the reception the man might get at home.
“Take him back home to MOM!” Trump said.
Then came the Kentucky-specific twist: Trump imagined the man’s mother being a Trump voter herself, furious that her son had interrupted the president.
The punch line was an imaginary mother reminding him, “I VOTED FOR THAT MAN!”
That’s a pretty rough ending to an attempt to steal the spotlight.
Watch the exchange:
🚨 LMFAO! Leftist heckler gets SHAMED OUT of the Trump rally in Kentucky
President Trump: "Take him back home to MOM!" 🤣
"The mother, ESPECIALLY a Kentucky mother, she slaps the HELL out of him and says, I VOTED FOR THAT MAN!"
"How stupid are they?"

The joke was about a hypothetical conversation back home. The clip does not establish who the heckler’s mother is or how she voted.
What it does show is Trump making the interruption part of his act. Instead of letting the heckler dictate the subject, he gave the audience a new reason to react to him.
For anyone hoping to throw him off his stride, that is the risk of interrupting a politician who is perfectly happy to improvise.
Saturday’s stop also had a purpose beyond the viral moments. The Republican National Committee advertised the event as a midterm rally at Truist Arena in Highland Heights.
Trump was scheduled to speak at 2 p.m. Eastern, with the November election just over two weeks away.
The Kentucky Lantern reported that the visit followed Trump’s March trip to the commonwealth, when he campaigned for Ed Gallrein in the Republican primary against Rep. Thomas Massie. Gallrein went on to defeat Massie, putting a Trump-backed candidate in position to compete for the seat in November.
The Senate race was another part of the backdrop. Republican nominee Andy Barr told reporters he had been offered a speaking slot for Saturday’s event.
Barr is running against Democrat Charles Booker, a former Kentucky state representative.
The Lantern also noted that political forecasters had tightened their assessments of Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District race between Republican Ralph Alvarado and Democrat Zach Dembo. That helps explain why even a visit to a Republican-leaning state carries real stakes for the party’s congressional campaign.
Trump came to rally voters. The heckler supplied an unscheduled detour, and Trump made sure he got the last word.
Two other moments from the Kentucky rally are worth catching, too.
One supporter, identified in the accompanying post as an immigrant from Ghana, delivered a personal message to the president. He said he had followed Trump while in Ghana and credited him with changing his life.
“You are the greatest leader of our time,” the man said, before closing with a blessing for Trump.
That was a very different message from the one the heckler wanted to deliver:
🚨 NOW: Pro-Trump African immigrant looks straight into the camera and DROPS this line for President Trump
"Mr. President, you don't know how much I love you. I followed you in Ghana…YOU CHANGED MY LIFE."

And Trump found time for another roast, this one aimed affectionately at Ohio Sen. Jon Husted.
Describing his appraisal of Husted’s build, Trump joked, “I examined his ass. I never did that with a man before.”
He went on to describe looking over Husted’s shoulders, feet, hand and jawline. The accompanying post identifies Husted as a former University of Dayton football player.
🚨 LMFAO! Funniest president ever: "I examined his ass. I never did that with a man before."
"I then patted him on the shoulder…I'm still recovering my hand"
*Crowd cracks up*

Between the heckler’s imaginary trip home and the Husted routine, Saturday’s crowd certainly got more than a standard campaign speech.
