According to FOX 2 Detroit on Twitter, Governor Gretchen Whitmer dispatched two companies of the Michigan National Guard to Wisconsin at the request of Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, and by her power, they will not be federalized. The request after Kyle Rittenhouse killed two and wounded a third in an act of self-defense in Kenosha.

Whitmer goes on to call Rittenhouse as a “police admirer” indirectly suggesting that he, and the militia that he belongs to who were defending local small businesses,  were the true reason for the protests that have destroyed the city of Kenosha.

The Michigan Governor adds that “[she is confident] that our guardsmen and women will work hard to keep our neighbors in Wisconsin safe while working to protect their First Amendment rights to peaceful assembly.”
