For decades, our US military members have been a low priority for Democrats. During Barack Obama’s final months of his second term in office, we reported on a story about how the City of Chicago was forcing a homeless veterans group to vacate a charitable facility located on the South Side of the city where they were fed over 3,000 meals every month, to make room for restaurants and shops that would surround the new “Obama Presidential Center.”

“We don’t appreciate being muscled out and put in the situation of having to negotiate from a position of despair,” facility center Director Jah Ranu Menab told Fox News.

Menab thinks the University of Chicago, which is working with the Obama Foundation to bring the presidential center to the South Side, is also part of an apparent effort to ultimately force the facility into receivership.

Now, exactly seven years after we reported about the land grab from the veteran’s group in Chicago, it’s being reported by a non-profit group that veterans are being kicked out of a hotel in upstate New York to reportedly make room for illegal aliens who entered the United States through our open borders.

Fox News reports – CEO of the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation, Sharon Toney-Finch told the New York Post she was notified by veterans that they were getting kicked out of the hotels they were being housed at as they waited for more permanent housing options.

Although they were not told explicitly it was due to the migrant surge, she said that was evident given the timing as officials battle the border surge and spillover amid the end of Title 42.

There were reportedly 20 veterans who were told they would no longer receive temporary housing at the hotels – 15 of those former service members were at the Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh.

This is the same hotel migrants arrived at last week in New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ attempt to alleviate the impact of the southern border surge on the Big Apple’s already-strained resources.

In January, we wrote about how taxpaying Americans were furious to discover illegal aliens who were being housed in a pricey hotel in NYC were refusing to locate because they were unwilling to lower their standards.

Dozens of single men who ILLEGALLY crossed into the United States from Mexico staged a protest outside of the Watson Hotel in Manhattan, where they were staying on the American taxpayer’s dime.

And many American taxpayers who can’t afford to take a vacation because of the high price of gas in Joe Biden’s horrible economy will be surprised to see the rooms these invaders are being given free of charge! But that’s not all; they are also being provided with free food, health care, education, and a cell phone with an app to inform them of their court hearing they’ll never show up for.

These single, male illegal aliens who come from countries around the world also recognize how good they have it, as they are refusing to allow the US government to relocate them to a new migrant relief center, the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.

Fox News reports – “This weekend, we began the process of moving single adult men from the Watson Hotel to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, as we transition the hotel to meet the large number of asylum-seeking families with children,” Adams said in a statement.

“More than 42,000 asylum seekers have arrived in New York City since last spring, and we continue to surpass our moral obligations as we provide asylum seekers with shelter, food, health care, education, and a host of other services,” the mayor continued.

Several migrants who went to the new center immediately turned around and went back to the Watson Hotel, claiming there was a lack of heat and bathroom space at the facility.

Despite these claims, the city assured that the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal provided the same services for the migrants seeking asylum, including heat and space.

Illegal aliens who are being shipped to NYC and communities across America are becoming increasingly emboldened. Two weeks ago, we wrote about an NYC hotel that was trashed by a mob of ungrateful illegal aliens.

As migrants are sent on buses from Texas to ‘sanctuary cities,’ these cities are beginning to experience firsthand the severe consequences that accompany an open border policy, which the Democrat lawmakers have fought so hard to maintain. For example, one hotel in New York City, where migrants are being housed, has been trashed as many of the illegal aliens are getting drunk, using drugs, and running wild.

A former luxury hotel in New York City has been overrun by illegal immigrants who have been housed there by the government at the expense of American taxpayers. This hotel costs taxpayers about $650,000 per night to house the migrants, which equals about $500 per room.

One of the employees at the hotel spoke to Fox News about the horrible state the hotel has fallen into since the immigrants moved in.

Felipe Rodriguez, an employee at Row NYC Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, provided insight into the chaos that has taken over the once-luxury hotel, as well as his fears for the safety of the community.

“It’s a lot different when I joined the row in 2017; it was a great place to work… you came in, there was no stress,” said Rodriguez. “There was a nice environment where you could associate with the guests, and the exchange was pleasant. Now… this is a migrant hotel… We don’t have guests anymore. They sold the entire hotel from the fourth floor to the 28th floor. So it’s all migrants.”

Rodriguez made it clear that, despite all the chaos, some of the migrants are “real great people” who are just “looking for the American dream.”

“Unfortunately, the government didn’t vent out just the right people to come into the program and just sent anybody. So we got people who are… getting drunk, using marijuana. They are punching and beating their wives or their girlfriends. We have teenagers running around wild around the hotel, opening the fire exit doors. It’s a mess.”

Rodriguez added that young people are “having sex in the stairs” and said a fight broke out between a migrant and a hotel security officer.

He revealed that the migrants have begun to act like they own the hotel, and the employees have entirely lost control over the situation.

“The form in which they keep their rooms is horrendous,” Rodriguez said. “They don’t clean it; they don’t fold their clothes. They’re hoarding clothes; they’re hoarding whatever they can hoard.”

The hotel employee also revealed the shocking amount of food waste at the hotel. Rodriguez shared footage and images of the unbelievable amount of food the hotel had to throw out every day because the migrants wouldn’t eat it, reportedly wanting different food.

“I was shocked,” said Rodriguez. “It was mind-boggling, and when I asked some of the guests… they said they [didn’t] like it.”

Some workers at The Row hotel in Midtown, which is being used exclusively to house migrants, say they throw out bags and bags of free, uneaten food everyday. Rodriguez also shared his concerns for his personal safety and for the safety of those in the surrounding community.

“It is nice to see that we have people that believe in the American dream, and it’s good for them to come here and look for that, but I think that we owe New Yorkers and we owe all citizens the right to make sure that our neighborhoods are safe,” he said.

“There is no safety in our job,” continued Rodriguez. “Security is very shorthanded… we don’t know who’s drunk and who’s going to… do some crazy stuff.”

“The ones that have all the power are the migrants. The hotel workers lost their power in the hotel.”
