Last month, Fidel Lopez was convicted of raping his girlfriend’s dog to death and now he’s a free man thanks to the sanctuary state of Oregon.

As if it wasn’t sick enough that this 52-year-old man did this to a small Lhasa Apso, he’s now out on the streets to do this again.

Yes, Fidel Lopez was released back into the local community even though he’s illegal. He had served only 60 days for his crime, and now he’s out.

ICE had asked local authorities to turn Lopez over to them, but they ignored the requests and let him go.

According to Breitbart News, an ICE representative spoke about the problem with sanctuary cities:

“The Multnomah County Jail did not honor the immigration detainer and released him without notice to ICE. Sanctuary policies not only provide a refuge for illegal aliens, but they also shield criminal aliens who prey on people in their own and other communities,”

Lopez is now in custody and is expected to be deported.
